  • Weight: 646 gram total
  • Barasaurus with the head preserved are very rare. Here is a one in a nodule, all natural and unrestored specimen with preserved gastoliths. The feet are missing though which is a pitty.
  • Gastoliths are grinding stones which are often found in the stomachs of these animals.
  • Barasaurus besariei was first described in 1955 and classified as a fully distinct species in 2004. 
  • They were predominantly terrestrial reptiles and probably ate mostly insects and craustaceans.
