Beautiful Neolithic stone mortar from the Eastern highlands, PNG

- Period: 3000 - 1000 BC but could be up to 8000 BC
- Material: stone, granite with remnants of red color
- Size: 21 x 32 cm
- Weight: 24 kg.
- Comes with interesting documentation of which pictures are included and stating that the mortar was pressented to Ulmarra Galleries mr. Rob Jago in 1984 by the villagers of Merayufa or Metaiufa in the Eastern Highlands with some interesting information. Also a statement out 1990 with more information of a study carried out by the department of pre historic studies of the universaty. Research school of pacific studies and the Australia National University.
