This object has recently be tested by the Netherlands Gem Laboratory with the provisional result that (picture of letter included): Although the main mineral content of the described object is tremolite, the observed texture appears to provent a straightforward identification as being nephrite jade. Nodular or angular clasts of nephrite appear to be present in a matric, in which foliation is present as well. A this-section of this material would be needed to get more detailed information on the texture and relation with mineral content. Based on the current data, a provisional conclusion is that the object consists of a metamorphic rock, which could be classified as semi-nephrite/tremolite schist.
